I'm a twenty-something married girl with a wonderfully creative husband, two fur babies, and a home. Yes, I'm finally an adult; I've got loads of laundry, bills in my mailbox, and dirty dishes in the sink and mommy ain't taking care of any of it. Oh and as for my blog name "Queso Fino"; this blog won't be in spanish although I do speak it quite fluenty... It's just all the good names were taken.

At Least He's Potty Trained

As a new wife, I'm still learning, or dare I say, starting to believe the advice given to me by all the women in my family. Men are clueless. Not always, I'll give them that, but most times they just haven't got a clue. It's frustrating to the point that I can't see the light at the end of the tunnel in some cases, but once we've crossed that bridge I usually find myself looking back and giggling. Giggling at his inability to get [what seems to me as] a simple task done. Giggling at myself for getting so flustered at his inability.
I'll give you an example: We recently bought our first home and are still in that remodeling stage. Paint is everywhere, boxes piled high, appliances still missing. We had just bought our new fridge a few days earlier and I was so stoked! My own huge stainless-steel bottom freezer refrigerator! WAHOO!! Delivery day came and I receive the call at work that the delivery truck was just down the street from my house. I call Hubby to tell him and he says he's home and ready. Then he calls me back. Frantic. "The fridge won't fit into the kitchen because of the counter; I'm gonna send it back!" I couldn't even get the words out before he'd ended the call. Now, why? Why does he call me at work to give me the bad news? Couldn't he figure it out from there with the delivery guys instead of calling me at work, where I could do nothing but freak out that my new precious refrigerator is being taken away? Into the car and into traffic I flew to rescue my kitchen's newest member. Anxious. Flustered.
Flash forward twenty minutes, the delivery guys were able to squeeze it into its place and it looked great. Now, why couldn't we have done without the frantic call? The one where I could've done nothing anyway? Men. They don't multi-task. They also can't handle things the way us women can. I remember my mom giving me this advice. Even my dad told me. Did I listen? No.
I adore my Hubby and need to learn once and for all that him and I are different. I can handle certain situations and he can handle others. At the end of the day its easier to giggle and think "At least he is potty trained".

A Tourist in Our Dining Room

About a month ago my hubby and I decided to tour South America's Amazon during our honeymoon. We spent 5 days living with a tribe getting to know them and their way of life; it was probably one of our most unforgettable travel experiences yet.
Well, as it turns out, one of the tribes inhabitants apparently couldn't part with us when the time came, so into our backpack he went and took a trip back to the mainland and into the U.S. Now he was a full-fledged illegal alien who would spend an entire month hiding in our home only to make an appearance last night. LATE last night. An unpleasant appearance, might I dare to add. As my hubby stumbled through our dining room he kicked over what seemed like a plastic object, maybe a toy left behind from his toddler-nephew who had been over earlier; but then it moved. That's when we realized what it really was and went into full-panick mode. We won't tell you the fate of the creature, as we really feel bad ourselves, but really, what do you do when you find a spider 2" wide in your home where you only find a daddy-long legs once in a blue moon??? I wasn't sure if it would bite, jump, chase, or shoot. Yes, shoot. Haha! I'm no entomologist let alone an arachnologist. So the sky is the limit on what those guys can do to you as far as I'm concerned!
Anywho, enjoy his photo; it's a bit blurry because I snipped it from a video I took of my hubby hunting the alien.

...To Be or Not To Be...

After much (and I mean MUCH) deliberation, I finally decided it was time to put pen to paper, er fingers to keys, and make this blog happen. I am a girl with many words; words that might make some blush to hear, so I figured I'd semi-anonymously post them on a blog of my own for anyone brave enough to read.
I'm recently married to my youngin' days crush, trying [again] to conceive, just bought our first home, love to cook but am currently kitchenless and living off a bbq, have two fur babies, an in-law or two worthy of a few backhands, and have a family that with all its drama I adore and they support me in all that I do (even though sometimes I have to convince them to support me).
I'm not sure what I will be blogging about as this will mostly be an outlet for me, but ANY topic is fair game. Maybe it will jerk a tear, make you giggle, or just raise a brow, but I really do hope you will take this journey with me as I'm sure it will be interesting.
Oh, and if you figure out who I am, please don't tell my loved ones; we don't want anyone running to me claiming monies for making them famous ;)
